” Ways to Stop Global Warming” seems to be the new mantra of the environmentalist left. The premise of these articles is that we as a society are causing our world to end up like a “burning forest”. While the article itself is informative and provides some good advice, I wonder what on Earth it would say to “stop global warming”. Let’s just stick to the facts. Once again, the planet earth is doing what it is supposed to do.
In fact, according to the National Research Council, Carbon Dioxide is the leading cause of atmospheric change. And methane is second. We are simply adding to the problem by adding carbon dioxide and methane through industrial emissions. This is not an argument against technology, as some people might suggest.
The argument that I have with those who say that carbon dioxide is not a problem is that carbon dioxide is plant food. Well, I beg to differ. We are taking the food that Nature provides for us and depleting it. This process has been going on since the dawn of mankind. However, humans are doing something mad last year, and it’s about time that someone realized what was going on.
While there are serious debates on how much impact human activity has had on global warming, I think the best thing we can all agree upon is that it has been an immense problem. I was recently reading in one of the scientific journals about how the Earth has entered a new Ice Age. Now, I know that you might be thinking; “What on Earth is an Ice Age?” Well, the ice sheets are receding, and the glaciers are melting. This has been going on for thousands of years.
One of the most important things to realize about global warming is that it is a natural phenomenon. There is nothing we can do to stop it. The cause of this heating of the earth is mainly due to the increase in carbon dioxide. This increase is also increasing the atmospheric pressure, which causes the warming effect.
There are some scientists who believe that carbon dioxide should be listed as a dangerous element. It’s known to cause the development of many types of cancer. When there is too much of it in the atmosphere, it will start to sink into the water, and eventually be absorbed by plants. They hope that with enough information people will understand that it’s not a good idea to have as much carbon dioxide floating around in the air.
While there are many different solutions being researched, one very simple solution that we can all implement right away is to burn fewer fossil fuels. We can all save money by doing this. One of the 10 ways to stop global warming, which includes switching to an electric car would be to use electricity instead of gasoline. You would be surprised at how much money you could save. Not only would you be saving money, but you would also be doing your part to save the environment.
If everyone could just find one place to park their cars in that they would use for both business and personal use, the world would be a much better place. Right now it is just too hard to do both. You would be amazed at how much money you could save if everyone just turned off their cars and took some of the stress off of driving. Some cities have started to do this, so you should check with your city to see if they have.
